Understanding the need for efficient policing & need for intelligence gathering for a better secured metropolis, BAT launched the neighborhood watch, a community-based security intervention mechanism that transformed Lagos to a better secured metropolis. He institutionalized the Rapid Response Squad which is the Lagos state elite police squad that’s become the most noble, disciplined courteous, efficient, and best equipped police unit in Nigeria. Knowing the need for security forces to also balance their actions with the rights of the citizens well protected Ashiwaju launched the office of the Public defender, a novel initiative that provides legal aid and succor to the populace protecting the rights of citizens.

It is arguable that very few political leaders have shown vision in promoting then Nigeria youth to become tomorrow’s leaders in

our recent democratic history like Bola Ahmed Tinubu .

As Lagos state governor, he started the “One Day Governor ” initiative in Lagos state ,enabling a youth occupy the office of Lago State Governor for a day ,exercising the power of state to do good and inspiring a generation soon to come. Ashiwaju, a thoroughbred detribalized Nigerian, started paying the WAEC school fees of all children irrespective of ethnicity or state of origin ,long as the were in Lagos states school their WAEC fees would be paid by the LASG. This single act has paved the way for many to advance in education and become great people today . He built numerous schools & he continues to support numerous causes for the advancement of the Nigerian youth .

BAT as President would indeed ensure the future of todays youth is assured by ensuring today is indeed a brighter one .
