Co-chair of Bill and Melinda Gates foundation and one of the world’s richest men Bill Gates pays a courtesy visit to president elect Bola Ahmed Tinubu.

On Monday, President Bola Tinubu reaffirmed his commitment to giving Nigeria’s healthcare system first priority. He noted that for any nation to advance, the wellbeing of its citizens, especially the labor force, is essential.

At a meeting with Bill Gates, Co-Chair of the Bill and Melinda Gates Foundation, and Aliko Dangote, President of the Aliko Dangote Foundation, at the Presidential Villa in Abuja.

According to a statement released and signed by Dele Alake, the president’s special adviser for special duties, communication, and strategy, this is the case.

His trip is claimed to be a follow-up to his prior trip to China and is intended for “discussing global health and development with national and local leaders, foundation partners, grantees, scientists, and young innovators.”

The visit is also a component of the Foundation’s pledge “to work closely with communities and leaders to support innovation that can help accelerate progress and improve lives across Africa.”

President Tinubu praised the relationship with the Aliko Dangote Foundation at the meeting and praised the Gates Foundation’s dedication to working for mankind.

He said that his administration would take all necessary steps to ensure the success of their work in Nigeria and throughout Africa, particularly with regard to eliminating diseases like malaria, polio, measles, and other contagious illnesses.

He mentioned that the health sector in the nation is facing numerous difficulties, including funding shortages and budgetary restrictions.

While praising Mr. Gates for his work in combating climate change and eliminating polio and malaria in Africa, Mr. Tinubu stressed that more has to be done to aid underdeveloped nations.

He declared, “You have everything it takes to help developing nations more,” and that the West needed to hear more from him about the predicament of such nations.
